Settings

Here, you can edit the course title, course codes and credits.

Here, you can select the different functions in the course. Check the box to enable a function and uncheck it to turn it off. Under this heading, you can also select a new course main page from the drop-down list. Instead of the default main page, you can choose an element in the course, for example a folder, picture or note, as main page. Here are the most common functions:

Show Links	Turns on the links function. The URL for the links appears in the navigation tree with the other learning elements.
Show Status and follow-up	Status and follow-up includes an assessment record and options for monitoring attendance and behaviour.
Use attendance reporting	Use itslearning's powerful built-in attendance-tracking system to keep track of the attendance of the participants in the course.
Show participants	Check here if you also want a participants list to be visible to the participants. If you uncheck this option, the Participants link is removed from the navigation tree but remains visible to the teachers.
Use calendar	Attach activities to the course by using the calendar.
Use assessment record	Check here if you want to use an assessment record connected to a course.
Show Bulletin board	Include a bulletin board as part of the course page. Example of a bulletin in a course:
Portfolio assessment	Check here if you want to use portfolio assessment in the course.
Use Files in course	Use a separate file area associated with the course. The course files are very similar to Your web files, but this material can be accessed from the courseSettings.
Use Learning objectives	Use learning objectives in assignments, tests, surveys, explaining sequences, and process-oriented documents.
Planner	Check here if you want to allow the lesson plans in the course.

Under this heading, you can manage permissions on, for example, withdrawal, AICC communication and registration.

1. Enter a course.
2. Click Settings in the navigation tree.
3. Click Assessment settings.
4. Click Create.
5. Enter a title for the assessment scale.
6. In the Totals drop-down list, select Recommended if you have a scale that goes from, for example, 1 to 10. In a summary, this option represents calculation of the average mark, such as 7.Average or Recommended if you have a non-numerical scale, such as 'Very good', 'Good', and 'Bad'. In a summary this option counts the grades instead of giving the average. Example: 'Very good: 3 participants', 'Good: 8 participants', and so on.Count
7. Check Calculate percentages automatically if you want itslearning to calculate the percentages of the result automatically when a participant submits an element. For example, if a participant takes a test with 20 questions and answers 15 correctly, itslearning automatically calculates the percentage.
8. If it should be allowed to change the scale for a specific test, check Percentages can be changed when used with tests. This is not recommended if the assessment contains many rows.
9. Enter the title of the highest score in the first assessment row. Continue until you have written all the scores. Click Add new row if you need more rows.
10. Click Save to save the assessment scale.

Tip: You can move the different assessment rows up and down by checking the box in front of the title and use the Move up and Move down buttons.

2. Click Settings in the navigation tree.
3. Click Manage assessment settings.
4. Check the box in front of the assessment scale(s) you want to delete.
5. Click Delete.

2. Click Settings in the navigation tree.
3. Click Manage submission statuses.
4. Click Create.
5. Enter a title and description (optional) for the submission status.
6. Enter a title in the first row - for example, 'Not submitted'.
7. Check 'Not submitted' or 'Submitted' if the status is to appear before or after the assignment is submitted, respectively. Similarly, if the assignment can be edited when this status is active, check the 'Edit' box. If the assignment is completed while this status is active, check the 'Completed' box. Screenshot of the default submission status Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you are finished. Click Add new row if you need more rows.
8. Click Save to save the submission status.
